City of Apopka Florida - Errol Estates Transfer Station
Problem:
The City of Apopka had a problem! They had recently purchased a conventional reclaimed water pumping station in 1991 and it had completely failed! Their largest customer, a 36 hole golf course relied on this station to irrigate their country club property and Apopka simply could not get the water there! Delta P Systems was one of several bidders on this municipal project which stepped up to the plate. We bid a conventional system (like the one that failed) but gave them an option to use the QuietFlow system with all stainless steel construction. The city had never heard of such a system, however, when they heard about the reliability of these types of packages, they agreed to the alternate proposal.
Solution:
The city was astounded! This system would be half the size of the existing cast iron behemoth which had been poorly serving their needs for so long. Would it ever work? This system was required to pump 2700 GPM of reclaimed wastewater at a boost pressure of 100 PSI!
It DID work! Furthermore, this system had good golf etiquette. With a tee box within earshot of the station, the QuietFlow pumps out up to 3100 GPM with hardly a groan or grumble to show for it. In fact, you can easily have a quiet conversation in the room during 100% operation. Now the city has plenty of time to discuss their short game and less time troubleshooting their water service!
